A group of like minded successful persons who believe in or have experienced the power of sport in bringing about change in young persons lives. Combining over 30 years of experience in NGO’s, Sports Organisations, relief organisations and Indonesian educational systems. Who understand that there are enormous gaps in the coverage of Indonesian Ministry of Health, Ministry of youth and sports, ministry of education, national sports federations, and Paralympic committees.

Management Committee

Rodney Holt

Founder of BSF Asia in 2009.Rodney Holt grew up in Italy, has been living in Bali & SE Asia since 1992, Chef / Businessman with companies in Bali & Singapore. Rodney has represented three countries internationally in five different sports including the Olympics. First Bali Rugby player to represent Indonesia. Co-founder and Bali Rugby President 2007- 2009. Founder & Organiser of HOTAIR! in 2006 till present, Bali’s only kitesurf competition, Founder & organizer of Sanur Village Festival sports program now with 7 sports, 2006-2013. Organizer of first Beach Rugby Tournament in Indonesia 2007. Organizer of first Beach Cricket Tournament in Indonesia. Winner 2007 Bali Sports Personality of the Year. 2011 Bronze medallist Eskrima- Singapore Cup Stick Fighting Championship. 2012-14 Indonesian Team member Eskrima to World Championship. Morgue volunteer in the 2002 Bali Bombings. Organizer of numerous sports events in Bali & Singapore annually 2009-present. More recently Head Coach Indonesian National Wheelchair Rugby Team to 2014 Asian Para Games.

Peter Barnett (MBE B.A., F.C.A.,C.P.A.)

Peter has dual British/Australian nationality, is currently resident in Sydney with his wife and has 4 adopted grown up children. He is a qualified chartered accountant in both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Peter has spent most of his working life in SE Asia including 10 years based in Bali. Apart from his 6 years working for one of the big 4 international accounting firms, he has spent time in the hospitality sector, garment trading, management consulting and food manufacturing. He has held several honorary positions including treasurer of the Hong Kong Football Club and member of the Board of Bali International School. Peter’s work in the aftermath of the 2002 Bali bomb was recognized by the British Government for which he was awarded an MBE.

Chris Pardey

Chris Pardey has been involved in BSF since 2009 with main focus on fundraising. Chris has been living in Singapore from 2005 and is active in Singapore sports running the British Exiles soccer team which also supports BSF. Chris is CEO of RCMA Group, a leading commodity trading company. RCMA Group has been one of the key organisations helping to promote the move into disabled sports for BSF since 2013.

Anisa Al Hooti

        Anisa brings a wealth of Para Sports experience to BSF,She was President from 2014 to 2018 for (West Asia Wheelchair Basketball Federation)

John Rennie

John Rennie was born and raised in Scotland but has spent almost his entire working career abroad,with long residence periods in South Africa,Switzerland,the Netherlands,and Singapore (twice). John is a qualified analytical Chemist and has a Master’s in Business Leadership. He has spent the past 30 years in executive marketing and trading roles in the International coal trade,working for 3 major multi-national companies.

John has been associated with BSF since returning to work in Singapore in 2009. John has always been very active in a number of sports,particularly soccer where he has played,coached and managed a number of teams in various countries. He is currently a regular player for the British Club of Singapore soccer section.

Naveen Sharma

Naveen Sharma was born and raised in India and has spent and has lived last 20 years of working career in Singapore, Switzerland & Geneva, returning back to Singapore for a second term in 2013. Naveen holds a Honours Degree in Physics and has an MBA in Marketing. He has been working in the field of Agriculture Commodities for last 24 years and has worked in Trading & Management roles with reputed International trading houses & Banks.

Naveen is an avid follower of sports and is active in Squash & Golf currently. He has also been an active Chess player at School / University level. Naveen has been involved with BSF since 2013 when Chess was introduced in Bali Para Games and has helped with organising Chess Competitions and helps with raising some funds.

Dewi Hughes

Desak Made Hughesia Dewi (Dewi Hughes), born in Bali on 1971. Completed her education in the Faculty of Science Teaching and Education Was appointed by the Indonesian government as the National Ambassador for the Campaign against Trafficking of Women and Children in June 2003 by the Minister of State for Women Affairs. Dewi Hughes has focused anti-trafficking campaign in person, especially to increase public awareness about the dangers of trafficking and also try to move the community to prevent the occurrence of trafficking in their communities each and encourage law enforcement to take firm action against the perpetrators of trafficking.

In 2005 received Heroes Action to End Modern-Day Slavery from the Government of the United States along with 11 other people from around the world including the USA’s Ricky Martin and Queen Sylvia of Sweden. Receive scholarships as well as the International Leadership Program in the USA to study the problem of domestic violence, trafficking & the law and government policy of the United States.

July 2008, received an award from the Minister of State for Women Affairs in the State Palace , witnessed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the National Ambassador against Trafficking Women and Children in Indonesia .

In the world of Television, in 2001 Dewi won the Panasonic Award as Viewers Choice Talkshow Host and was nominated for the awards as a “Ngetop” by SCTV in 2002 and 2001. She was also nominated for the category of Best Talkshow, Host of Quiz Shows and Options for Program Audience Children Panasonic Award 2002.
